Directions: From Winnsboro, take Hwy 34 (Newberry Road) West, turn on Meadow Lou Lane, continue to the end of Meadow Lou Lane, and proceed on the dirt road, property will be located on the left down the power line right-of-way, and look for survey markers and signs.

Location: Located roughly 5 miles West of the Town of Winnsboro on SC Hwy 34 (also known as Newberry Road).

Terrain: Rolling topography is common in this area. Roughly 1-2 acres are level at the top portion of this property, the remaining acreage gradually slopes downhill towards the watershed, some of which is located within the watershed. It is densely populated with a mixture of vegetation. 

Natural Water Source: This tract is located in and around the Jackson Creek Watershed. Water levels in this portion of the watershed fluctuate considerably throughout the year. Rainfall collection is the primary source of water feeding this area along with natural springs. No gas-powered boat motors are permitted within the watershed.

Wildlife and Hunting: Hunting and fishing in Fairfield County has a reputation as an excellent county for a variety of wildlife. Located in South Carolina Game Zone 2, Fairfield County has an abundance of whitetail deer, wild turkey, and hogs. Waterfowl is present on large bodies of water, ponds, and rivers. Dove fields are abundant. Several nearby public lakes and watersheds provide areas for fishing year-round. The watershed offers fishing.

Roads and Entrances: From Hwy 34, Meadow Lou Lane is a county-maintained road that eventually dead ends into a dirt road easement. The dirt road easement meanders to a major overhead utility right-of-way, upon reaching the ROW, the property is down the hill to the left. A small sign and survey markers are posted.

Airports: The nearest commercial airports are Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT) and Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE). The Fairfield County Airport is also located nearby for smaller private aircraft.

School District: This tract is located in the Fairfield County School District. Other educational opportunities nearby include Richard Winn Academy (Private - South Carolina Independent School Association - SCISA).
